NatWest and RBS crash – leaving customers unable to log in to accounts online

NatWest and RBS banking apps appear to have gone down this morning, leaving customers unable to access their accounts.

The technical issues started around 8.20am with almost 2,000 people complaining about the service, according to outage tracker DownDetector.

More than 1,700 NatWest customers are saying they can’t log into their online bank accounts, while over 200 people who bank with RBS are struggling.

DownDetector says 73% of the complaints from NatWest customers are to do with mobile banking, while a further 25% are linked to online banking.

Around 83% of the complaints from RBS users this morning are about mobile banking, while 16% is to do with online banking.
