Man Utd receive Eriksen boost

Following reports that Man Utd have entered discussions with Christian Eriksen over a potential move to Old Trafford this summer, the Denmark international has revealed that he will decide his next move over the next week, with Tottenham Hotspur also interested.

However, in what could be a subtle hint to his next venture, Eriksen has now revealed that he wishes to stay in England beyond this summer, following his six month spell with Brentford last season in what was his return to football following his cardiac arrest last year.

According to the Daily Mail, Eriksen would prefer to stay in the Premier League upon the expiry of his contract with the Bees, who have also offered him a fresh deal, despite receiving offers from abroad, in what could be a major boost for the Red Devils.

Pereira has an £8.5m buy-out-clause included in his loan deal with Flamengo, but reports have suggested that the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A side are unwilling to pay the fee. However, Flamengo’s boss has admitted he wants Pereira to remain in Brazil.

Speaking to Lance, he said: “It’s just an opinion. I hope he stays. Players of this level, players with this potential, are few in Brazil. I have no doubt that this boy can still grow a lot, he can evolve a lot. How will it happen? I don’t know, but it would be really nice if we could hold onto this kid because he has a lot of qualities.
